Vale – Marc Coleman

It is with a sad heart we report the passing of Marc Coleman (OR 85) on Sunday 8th Feb 2015Coleman-Website

Marc was fighting cancer for over 3 years.

He was married to Nicole in 2010 and they have three young children Emilie, Ryan and Lucas.
He is survived by his brother Guy OI 78-83, sisters Kelly, Paula, Phillipa and his mother Patricia.

Marc was instrumental in the establishment of the Old Ignatians Cricket Club (OICC).
He scored thousands of runs, took hundreds of wickets, captained teams and was a long serving President of the club.
He was awarded the “Marc Coleman Cup” as the Clubman of the Year in 2001-02.
He was appointed as the first ever Life Member of the OICC in January 2015.

Mark also represented Old Ignatians Rugby Football Club from 1986 through to the early 90s mostly playing in the centres.  He won premierships as a player and as a manager and was inducted into the OIRFC Mates for Life Club.Vegas 2007carcass

Marc will be remembered as a loving family man, for his great sense of humour, his service to his community, his sporting ability  and his love of life.

He will be sadly missed by all his extended family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Celebration for the life of Marc will be celebrated at:

  1. RIP Carcass, great service today. Guy did a fantastic eulogy and a huge turnout from the Redmen. The guard of honour was a great gesture. Thoughts and prayers to Nicole and the kids always.
